Sidelining Twi speaking pastors from state events demeaning – Kumchacha

Popular Ghanaian Prophet and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries International, Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha has bemoaned government’s action of always sidelining pastors who speak vernacular during state functions.

According to the controversial Prophet, the failure of various governments to extend a hand of invitation to “Twi” speaking pastors is an act of discrimination against such pastors.

Speaking to host Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa, on Kasapa FM Friday, Prophet Kumchacha complained bitterly about the way and manner they [Twi speaking pastors] are handled when it comes to pastor’s representation during state events.

“Seriously it is disheartening to know that, those of us who use Twi as our main language to preach are seen as illiterate in the society, we have been sidelined by the state because during state functions, invitation is only extended to the English speaking pastors” he fumed.

He also noted that during the President’s engagement with the clergy over the issue of the building of the national Cathedral, none of the Twi speaking pastors were invited except prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah because he’s an avid supporter of the President Akufo-Addo.

Prophet Kumchacha wants government to consider inviting pastors of his kind to partake in state functions as he says their inability to speak or have command over the queens’ language does not connote them been unwise.

“We are not unwise because we can’t speak good English, we can also perform state functions just as the others or even better,” he said.
