VIDEO: #Number 12 Exposé: Nyantakyi threatens to sue Anas


The embattled former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has threatened to sue investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas for damages, Myxyzonline.com can confirm.

The threat follows the screening of the controversial journalist’s latest undercover piece dubbed #Number12 which captured Mr Nyantakyi on camera allegedly collecting $65,000 from supposed investors to influence the president, Nana Akufo-Addo and his vice, Dr Bawumia to get them contracts.

The two-year undercover investigation by the Tiger Eye PI into football in Africa also revealed a footage of over 70 Ghanaian referees and football administrators taking cash to fix games in the country.

The exposé which was shown on Wednesday, June 6 infuriated Millions of Ghanaian football fanatics including Members of Parliament (MPs) suggesting an overhauling of the country’s football governing body, led to the dissolution of the GFA by government pending restructuring.

But the former FA President who stated in his resignation letter on Friday that the undercover journalists who got him to take the money were scammers, has vowed to seek redress in court.

Mr Nyantakyi who met some of his close allies on Monday, June 11,2018 at an undisclosed location in Accra following the controversies brewing from the investigative piece said he will address the press very soon.

He said the constituents of the Anas exposé were concocted to defame him and his family, stressing he will not sit aloof for that to happen.
