On March 24, 2018, late dancehall diva, Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng better known as Ebony Reigns was buried at the Osu Cemetery in Accra.
The final funeral rites which was attended by well wishers, sympathizers was held at the forecourt of the State House.
Some of the patrons were top officials from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) including, Ibrahim Mahama, Oko Vanderpuije, Oye Lithur, seasoned musicians/actors like Stonebwoy, Samini, Wanlov The Kubolor, Mzbel, Afia Schwarzenegger, Tornado among others also showed up in their numbers to commiserate with friends and family of the late singer.
At the early stages of the funeral, Razzonline.com’s Sharp lenses, captured Controversial female entertainer, Afia Schwarzenegger unaware castigating Ghanaians including President Nana Akufo-Addo by accentuating that:
“They say am a bad person, but let me mistakenly die and see, Nana Addo will leave whatever he is doing and come to my funeral, but they will bury all of them before I die”, Afia Schwarzenegger quipped to the amusement of other celebrities like, Mzbel, and Tornado sitting next to her.
Fast-rising Ebony Reigns who churned out great songs such as “Poison” and “Maame Hwe” died on 8th February 2018 on the Kumasi-Sunyani road whiles returning from a visit to her mum at Sunyani.
