The Accra and Cape Coast Sports stadia will host next year’s Africa Women’s Championship in Ghana.

The local organizing committee (LOC) have selected the two arenas for the competition which will be played in November 2018.

The committee on Tuesday began inspection of the two venues to host the competition.

The Accra Sports Stadium is currently under slight renovation following the patchy state of the edifice.

Cape Coast unlike Accra is in good condition after it recently hosted the WAFU Cup of Nations tournament.

Meanwhile the Kumasi Babayara Sports Stadium have been selected as an alternative for the Accra Sports Stadium.

CAF’s inspection team will arrive in Ghana in the coming weeks to assess the progress in preparation for the tournament.

Ghana for the first time will be hosting the Africa Women’s Championship since its inception in 1999.

The Black Queens finished third in the last edition of the competition played in Cameroon.
